Value for money. Near to Subway. Nice and quiet. Staff very helpful. Maintain cleaniness - love its snow white fluffy bath towels.
Would have been better if its near Bloor/Yonge station, so don't have to switch platform to reach city area. It is further away from airport, so might have cost a bit more if taking taxi to and fro airport. But these are small problem, as otherwise it would have cost more. Any noisy neighbours at the hallway at night can be disturbing.
The staff was very pleasant and friendly and the hotel was very clean.
The room and bathroom were a bit small but I am not complaining about that. There were two things that were dirty: the coffee maker which had an old used coffee filter with dried up coffee still in the device and the windows which were covered with soot (on the outside).
parking available (not on-street), free breakfast, close to metro stop to easily get to tourist attractions.
parking was too expensive for what it provided (anyone could get in if they think about it for just 2 minutes - not very "secure" or "by reservation only"). breakfast was very limited. the window in our room was so dirty you could barely see out of it. as stated in other reviews, the elevator didn't feel safe. a pre-authorization for more than the price of the room was done on my debit card, freezing that money. this wouldn't have been too much of a problem if the money become available again when we checked out. but i didn't have access to it until at least 2 days later. so basically i had no funds for the rest of my stay in canada. not very convenient considering i don't walk around with large amounts of canadian currency in my purse.
Close to the subway station.
The hotel is far from city center. The breakfast was very poor, the room was very small and free Wi-fi is available only in the lobby. Before Isabella hotel we stayed in Ramada limited in Vancouver. It was the same price about but all facilities were at least in two times better.
Booked a deluxe suite with jacuzzi bathroom for 3 adults - what a joke.the sofabed was broken, jacuzzi didnt work either and I paid CAD 179 per room per night. Please do not stay there unless you are looking for an expensive hostel style hotel in the city centre.
A plain and straightforward hotel, my room had the essentials, such as a comfy and clean bed, a coffee maker, fridge, and a decent shower/bathroom. Wifi was a nice touch in the lobby, as was wired broadband in the rooms. The hotel itself was just over an hour's walk from the city centre, and very close to the Sherbourne subway station and the 75 bus route. The neighbourhood could do with a lick of paint and a few M$ of investment and help, but I heard no sirens or disturbances in the time I was there.
Sherbourne st subway station is just few minutes, comfortable bed, you can have your breakfast on the terrace, grocery is also few minutes by walk, area is not dangerous at all, room was cleaned every day.
Fries smell came in the room via the windows which could not be closed as fixed fans were placed there. Breakfast was quite weak. Always the same every day which were jam, peanut butter, cereal and fruit (apple and bananas).
Its stuff are quite ready to care all your needs.
Poor arrangement at breakfast
5min walk from the subway, 25min walk from downtown main street.
Room size was not too big, so was the elevator. Minimal breakfast. Wifi in the lobby only.
Quiet location, good breakfast and very clean room
Nice staff. Convenient location. Nice lobby. Nice patio
Room was not bad, but could have been a little bit fancier...nicer carpeting and repair a few stains in the bathroom ceiling.
The fact that it was a mansion with a historical look. Close to subway. Our suite had a tower view and a fireplace that added charm. Whirlpool jet tub and bathroom very nice.
Sofabed not too comfortable.
Low price....after staying there I got why! The hotel is closed to the metro.
I booked two rooms but when we arrived they had just one...so they offered a suite room in substitution, at the same price. At first we were happy but the suite was not so pleasant and the heating was not working!!! Indeed the double bedroom was extremely smal and unconfortable for two persons!! The breakfast was prepared in the hall, with not so much food (they said they offered an international breakfast). Moreover the internet connection in the hall was not working well!
It was a pleasant stay very quaint reminded me of my travels in europe, staying at smaller budget hotels. great value for your money highly recommend..
Wi-Fi in room is absent. Only in lobby.
